What Is The Entrepreneurs’ Council?

The Entrepreneurs’ Council (Council) was initially formed as an advisory group where members served as ambassadors, representing the Huizenga Business College. The Council has since grown to become a group of entrepreneurs from a wide array of industries. Members assist each other with business challenges and resources. New businesses and ventures have resulted from the Council’s network of business relationships.

To support the South Florida business community and to foster students’ entrepreneurial spirit, the Council established a scholarship to not only provide financial assistance but also guide students through mentorship. The mentorship program was created to give mentees direct access to Council members, providing them with ongoing support throughout their program and educational experience. Through such engagement, students are exposed to real-time business challenges, supplementing their classroom education. What do we do at the EC?

The Entrepreneurship Council supports NSU Huizenga Business School to develop the spirit of entrepreneurship. Our Council’s focus is to support our members growing businesses while providing our mentee entrepreneur students with career development guidance and mentorship to help them achieve their academic and goals of becoming the next generation of entrepreneurs.

How are we making a difference?

Council members established the Entrepreneurs’ Council scholarship and mentorship program to assist students with financial assistance as well as provide guidance for professional growth. The Council scholarship is awarded annually to a qualified student. The mentorship program provides all mentees with a network of professionals whether the goal is to pursue a corporate career or become an entrepreneur.
